I painted a mid 70s ford pickup, for a honda shadow, (it was a fair deal)
Then saw this 66 Ford on craigs list, he said "would like to trade for honda shadow".
    So, I did.
1966, F100, shorty, 352, 3 on the tree. runs pretty darn good.
Some exhaust leaks, odd little tweaks to be done, But I feel good about it.
AND I may actually be the fourth person to drive it,
    (aside from ford employees).
Grampa let no one drive it.
Grandaughter took it out for a joy ride once, got busted.
Grandson drove it around after Grandpa died.
    Me.

    more pics to come.

Those are great trucks, and the 352 is bulletproof. Best of luck with the new ride. FWIW, I think you made an epic trade.

Man, that's a great swap ! I'd have thought a good running truck like that would at least trade for a PROPER* bike, not a shadow.

    good on you.

    * that's a HD where I'm from. I tried a couple of shadows and they had no soul, and no torque either

Sweet man, ive got a 66. Any info you need is on the slick 60s site and theres a 61-66 group on here.

For the exaust leaks I recomend remflex and good header bolts. Did it to mine and its all sealed up a good.

Oy! Bonzer trade dude! I've seen those dropped a bit and smoothed out with a nice flat (semi-flat) paint job ... look very cool. You did well!

I ordered headers and cherry bombs last night, and I've got a guy to bend the pipes.
Hopefully next week, it will be on the road.
    and a little Pshop lowering

I love the sound of my 352 through headers, 2 1/4 pipes into 12 inch cherry bombs. It barks real good.

Headers on, 42 inches of pipe, mid sized Cherry bombs, sounds REAL good.
