    Hi all,

I just moved to the KC area a few months ago and am in need of a reasonably priced upholstery shop. I'm not needing show quality. I just need to pretty it up a bit. It's a 1933 Chevy 2dr sedan. Like I said, not a show car, just a driver.

    Any suggestions?

No, can't do it myself. I'm still waiting to get my shop built.

    Thanks for your help.

E&J Upholstery in Beaufort MO. 573-484-3114.
Great people and they do an excellent job for the money.

They're closer to St. Louis than KC but worth the effort I think.

Hello and welcome. I know a retired lady who does upholstery. I want her to do my car. If your not in a hurry at all, I mean at all.... Her price would be real reasonable. Near Perry, ks

Thanks for the info, guys. Jason, has this lady done any cars before? Any that I could look at? Perry is only about 30 minutes from me so it's a possibility. Can you PM me her phone #.

    Anyone else have a recommendation?

    thx.

  5. Gary Scarlett, Scarlett Auto Interiors, Topeka. 795-234-2966. This guy does great work, he's did some covertible top work for me before. In the summer when I go by his shop, he always seems to have some nice cars he's working on.

Jason, what is the lady's name over in Perry. That's just about 7 miles from my house.

This guy has been around for a long time. Never had a chance to talk to someone that he has done work for but he always has a car in the shop.

Idrive past his shop all the time. The owner of the building stores her old car in his shop. Pretty origonal looking 20 someting ford. I have not been in there in a long time so I can't remeber exactly what year the car is.

Point being he is close enough for you to visit and feel out if he is worth your time.

    White's Auto Restyling

Springfield, just east of Glenstone (Bus 65) on St.Louis(about three blocks).
The shop is on the North side of St.Louis St.

Turn around is usually about a week.

Anything from replacing inserts to complete interiors, moonroofs, anything.

I have seen their work and they will get to do the interior of my 47 Ford when it is ready.

They did Ryan Jackson's 34 Chevy coupe(the Green car) that has been featured in Streetrodder, custom rodder and several other mags.

Prices are very nice. Price depends, like most on amount of fabrication needed and quality of material selected.

Like I said, they get to do my 47.
I have had three shops in this area do interiors befor, and have not been satisfied, but what I see at White's Auto Restyling does it for me.

I have taken two new vehicles for Joplin Ford to White's for moon roofs (a F150 fr dr and a Lincoln Town Car.) with out being able to tell from a new car factory installation.

Shop and crew is large enough to accomodate several projects and quick turn around plus volume makes for an attractive price.

    Quality, price, quick turn around?
    What else?

There is a guy in southern KC that does a great job and the price is right. I will get his name for you and get back to you later on today.
