Need your hopes and prayers O/T

Sorry, I really hate to junk this place up with personal problems but I have to vent somewhere. My grandpa has just been diagnosed with lung cancer, and its not looking so great right now. He has gone to the doctor for the past 3 months complaining of back pains and then just of the past month troubles with breathing, each time they told him he was just exagerating and sent him home. Well on monday night he stopped breathing all together and had to rushed to the ER. They have found cancer throughout his body, in his shoulder, throat and brain. This guy is probably one of my biggest car idols, and he has meant everything to me ever since he gave me my first hotwheels car. He also is the one who gave me my first car (195 chevy 210). I really can't imagine loosing him and I am really afraid I am...so I would like to ask everyone to keep him in your thoughts. Again I am very sorry for junking up the forums with this, Ryan please delete this if you think I am out of line.

 

Real life is never OT, and we all need help when we face the parts that are completely beyond us. We're with you.

Thanks guys. He went into Chemo at around 2pm, and I havent heard anything more about him thus far in the day. Thanks for the support.

 

Prayers with you man, sounds like you're as close as I was to my gramps. My Grandpa filled the spot left by my dad, who died when I was 5 years old. Gramps was a real car guy too, worked on the Buick assembly line in 1927. I spent a lot of time with him even after I got married, and I'm thankful for every minute of it.

Its not over until God says it is. Keep us posted...

Hey man, I know what you are going through, and it is tough. I just lost my grandfather this past week due to cancer of the liver. It is tough, but try to stay strong man, you have two familys to talk to when you need to speak! My prayers are with you and yours.
