Can someone give me the scoop on Georgia Classic Fords? Reputable? My cousin just took her 56 T-Bird there for restoration... good move? Thanks everybody!
Might be late to find out how the shop is. Id think you'd want to research it before dropping off the car
Great answers. Ya might want to take your air hose and blow that sand out of your panties now. I don't have control over this... it's not my car. I just don't want this car ruined because the owners don't know much about it. She had trouble even finding someone to take it in the first place. I know Alabama. I don't know Georgia.
There's several threads about hotrod/restoration shops, search for the info, but in a nutshell get in writing clear expectations, due date, what payment is based on, overruns, etc....I've seen some long list put up by HAMBrs. A reputable shop shouldn't have an issue putting things in writing. Other things like being able to come by monthly/etc to look at and verify progress. You/her don't want to be fronting the cost of the previous build they just finished/etc.
I'm not so worried about the money and deadlines... my cousin is brutal about that sort of stuff. I'm worried about the actual work. Just wondered if anyone has used them or seen a car done by them before. That's all.
Never heard of them. Website says they are in Woodstock. I think a couple HAMBers live out that way. Maybe they will chime in.
