Need some help for my 36 Ford part.2

    Hello everybody , I always need of your help . I would like to change bearing on my banjo rear axle of the ring and pinion gears . I buy some news bearing but they are not the same of my rear axe ? Do you already have this problem ?

  4. If I remember right, '32-'36 rears used smaller differential bearings, while '37-'48 had larger bearings. Looks like you may have ended up with the later bearings.

    ok thank's the number of the smaller bearings is :18-4221 and 18-4222
    if you can help me with this number that is very good for me and where can I buy them

    Is there a manufacturer's number on the bearings other than the Ford number? If they're the original ones, you will probably have to buy them from a Vendor, such as Mac's Antique Auto Parts.

    You might also want to post this question on the Ford Barn forum and ask them if there's a cross over number to a modern bearing you could buy in France.

    The Ford Barn (http://www.fordbarn.com/forum/) is similar to the HAMB and is run by our very own Ryan. It is oriented towards Fords that are stock, but there are some hot rodders on there, as well. Out of respect, I keep any references to hot rods at a minimum, just so as not to ruffle any feathers over there!
