I’m trying to finish up the brake lines on my roadster. I need a rear flex hose that is about 15” long with 1/4” inverted flare for hard line on one end and 1/4” male flare to screw into a junction block on the other. My internet searches didn’t find any sellers that listed the specs down to that level and searching by car makes I didn’t find anything either. Seems everything is 3/16, but my early Ford front system and ‘60 Olds rear are all 1/4”. Speedway doesn’t show anything that I can use. Any suggestions?

No, I think I used a NAPA part. I just searched rear brake flex line and I found that one. I’ll look through my receipts to see if I can find the NAPA one for you
That is an unusual size, maybe you can find an adapter to go from 1/4 to 3/16 so you’ll have more hose choices length wise

I’ve never ordered online to pickup in store, but you learn something new everyday. I needed CV boots for the wife’s Subaru also and the ones from NAPA were recommended so I ordered the boots and the hose from NAPA. We’ll see how it goes. I couldn’t seem to find any specs for the hose on the NAPA website but I’ll know as soon as I see it. Thanks a bunch for the tips.

Look at brake hoses, front and rear, for a '53 to '62 corvette.. I can't find any pics with line sizes, but if you find one locally, you could measure it or someone on here may know....
RAYBESTOS BH381244 will work and is for 1/4 in brake lines. It is the front brake line for a 52 ford, if you need a little longer the rear for a 52 for is about 2 inches longer with the same ends as the front. It is also the one you need for using F1 brakes on the factory brake line banjo block on a 39 to 48 ford.
Thanks Jason! I should never have tossed my old Wagner and Echlin catalogs. They had lots of P/Ns, specs, cross references and engineering data. When my buddy retired and closed up his old parts store I grabbed a few catalogs and kept them at my shop for reference. With computers, the internet, and the growth of 1-(800) hot rodding I didn’t think I needed them anymore, so I tossed them when I retired and moved. Thank goodness we have the HAMB.
I have all the paper catalogs kept for reference. Grabbed them when they went digital. But, half the time they are at home so I can't help answer Qs posts here. BTW, I think I have 4 of those exact NOS hoses I bought off the HAMB years ago. I will dig them out and look. I won't be needing them.
Bob, I buy these front hoses from NAPA, they fit the early Ford cyls and convert to 3/16 at the frame. For the rear, I use bushings to reduce the rear cyls to 3/16 IF.
I have some Illustrated guides at home......if they aren't the ones I can look. Never get rid of old paper catalogs, I have regular application guides, but the illustrated guides are better....they have pics and sizes only. Sadly sometimes companies online catalogs or e catalogs don't go past the mid 60s, so you can't even find a stock part if you wanted too.....but they still make it IF you have the part number. There's a smaller selection of hoses that use a 1/4" hard line but there still around.
First you need to make sure of the thread pitch some GM cars use a 7/16-20 and some use a 7/16-24. These are 7/16-24: Dorman H35076, Cadillac 1969-61, 7/16-24 male and female, 14.5" long. Raybestos BH36792, 17.5" long. Dorman H77007 1971-72 Ford Pinto, 7/16-24 male and female, 15.25" long These are 7/16-24 and 7/16-20: Raybestos BH4497 16.5" long
Wow, great info, thanks. I’ll check tomorrow but I think my junction block accepts a 7/16 fine thread bolt, like the wheel cylinders.
