I would dearly love to run an early column in my truck using a full size 18 inch banjo wheel. I have a power rack and am concerned it will be too touchy with the big wheel. Have a reduced pressure early chevy ps pump already.

Anybody have pro/con experience with this in a fairly light hot rod ?
    Appreciate the advice.

Bigger wheel will make it less touchy. The distance to complete one turn of the wheel is increased which in turn slows down the steering.

Same number of turns lock to lock, just have to turn it further to get there

go manual rack. you will love the feel and function in your light rod. plus it simplifies the plumbing.
with the big wheel and power rack, you'll be fighting the car all over the road...been there, even with reduced power pump.
