This is probably a dumb ass question (and yes I searched). Has anyone run an aftermarket mustang II rack while using the original crossmember on a 1953 chevy?

I finally got to the point of swapping out the motor, pulled the 235 to find the weirdest steering setup I've ever seen! My original steering setup is in piss poor shape, jag front ends are apparently non-exisistant in these parts, and I'm already over my pathetic budget. There's plenty of room for the 500 caddy I'm putting in, but the stock steering IS in the way. MII racks are plentiful and cheap, plus it'll free up even more space by eliminating the steering box.

Any help or guidance would be appreciated!
