Need help with color ideas?

Well it's getting close to Paso time and the truck is going to get some scallops and striping done next week. Anyone have any ideas on what colors would look good. Also designs for scallops. Thanks in advance. I was thinking baby blue with white striping on the edges, but didn't know if it would stand out enough. I want it to really pop out. What ya think?

Baby Blue on a Blue Gray back ground will not "pop out".The tonal values are too close.



Try Vermillion,outlined with Process Blue.

It's the proper name for a specific shade of bright Orange.

 

i'd go black scallops with white striping. tye it in to your wheel tire combo.

 

i think the scallops would look clean in pepto bizmo pink. or like harpoon said black in white would be cool also

 

I like the idea of black with white striping. I don't know about pepto bismo pink I have bad memories with that color. Maybe someone can photo shop black scallops for me? Thanks for the ideas.

 

vermillion and pepto bismo pink were hunted to extinction by everyone in the NSRA a decade ago.

Whatever program you use, it definitely works better to adjust Hue-Saturation-Luminance than anything else.

 

How about a reddish brown primer and golden metalflake scallops? I can´t photoshop, but I imagine it might look good...

Just attack it with a Sharpie...Hell, bring it down Thursday &amp; ask people to stripe &amp; sign it...Live kustom job in the diner lot!!
