I am putting together and new ride and.....the chassis is really just a stretched bucket type with a wheel base of 120", a 27 T coupe body, with a suicide front end. I recently installed my crate 350 and turbo 350 combo..potential problem..I have only four inches or maybe slightly less of ground clearance from the very bottom of oil pan. I wanted low and I got it but it is too low? would appreciate comments that have some m:D erit. thanks.

  2. It dont sound too low,but that's up to your suspension travel.Ive got a modern style(90) t-bucket & its about 3 inches from the pan to the ground. My car will rub going over speed bumps in parking lots,,not bad.
It DID rub bad enough to eventually grind a pinhole in the pan quite a few years ago.
I bought a new, stock pan with a bitchen skid-plate on the bottom,(which can be fabbed easy),but couldnt go wrong for $30.00....from Moon at the LB swap.
    Run it.
