Hi new to the HAMB. I recently bought a 37 Dodge Ram truck. I want to change out the steering wheel. I have a 51 Chevy acc. Butterfly wheel that I am trying to install on a late model GM steering column. It won't slide down on the splines because of the built in ball on the wheel which matches the 51 Chevy column. Has anyone installed one of these wheels on the GM column? Thanks

The closest wheel I have here is a 41-48 chevy, and the design of the base/backside, is not adaptable to a later column.

I don't recall what the wheel back hub looks like on your 51. Maybe post a pic of it's back hub. It would be a longshot, but maybe it can be modified to a flat design?
