Im trying to round up the final parts to get the door glass in my 52 chev,
but everywhere I look I cant find the sash channel that the glass fits in, heres the way it works:

The glass fits in the sash channel, and the channel is bolted to another piece called the sash cam; Im missing both pieces.

Ive foud a "universal sash cam" but have been told its the wrong size for my regulator. I cannot find the correct sash channel.

    Anyone ever have this problem?
    What are my options?

Am I gonna have to install power windows in order to use their channel?

I guess I could try to fab up the parts I need first, I really hate the idea of power windows.

I need the parts in the middle of the pic:
    10.685 and 10.687

Have you tried the universal cam track yet to see if it fit your regulator?

I got the front window channels for my 54 from the car and truck shop in Orange County, Ca. They didn't show a listing for the track, but they pulled one off the shelf from a later model and it was the same.

Or you might check with Owens Salvage for a used set. Cesar

Not 100 % sure of the name , I think it's Restoration Specialties or something like that , it's in Winnbar Pa. they have tons of different window channels & stuff.
Maybe you could check it out on the web.

  5. I'm sure there's sources for finding the right parts, should I mention the obvious? Hemmings. Don't dick around (make it hard for yourself), find the right application for your vehicle and eliminate the guesswork (using "universal" type crap).

You would think that since the door hardware between 49-54 would probably be the same it would'nt be that hard to find. Same year pontiac's might even be the same.

    thanks fellas

youd think 49-54 would all be the same, but 53-54 are different ( and of course you can buy them new)

Just wanted to give a big thanks to Mike @ Obsolete Chevy Parts for finding what I needed.
