These are the clamps with the rubber covers for brake lines, etc. Been searching for a source for the little 3/16 size. Stainless would be nice, too. Someone sent me a source awhile back... but I've lost it in the shop mess
uh oh.... Total Performance doesn't have a 3/16ths size clamp. Same problem I ran into with other sources like McMaster (and they usually have everything). Anyone else?
Allstar Performance parts....aluminum band with neoprene cover (black). I sell them if you can't find any at a local performance shop.
[ QUOTE ] Thanks Jay -- BTW, have you recently relocated? [/ QUOTE ] Yep. Left Sunny California for Sunny, windy, rainy and sometimes snowy Arizona. so far, I'm really liking it. There is a very strong hot rod presence in town and lots of cars kicking around. If I can find my digi-cam's photo program I'll post a few. I won't say the locals are crazy or even wild men, but they're trying to arrange some drag racing on a city street in a nearby community. Went to a car show Saturday before last, very small, but a few interesting cars. One, an unrestored 1925 Essex pickup that was still running. I'm still trying to get my shop up and running. Biggest problem is storage and once I get that squared away I'll be able to park 3 vehicles - one big one, two small ones - in the garage. After that goal is met, it's back to building....
Winfab -- BINGO! Those are the ones. And their site says they come in 3/16th. I'll take a couple dozen. (Sure you want to send 'em after my goof-up on those Borgeson U-Joints? ) Jay -- I love it here in Nor Cal, but we've been spending time down in Tucson with friends and we really like it. The desert is quiet and beautiful, and compared to the beach, everyone seems to have more ROOM. The year-round roadster weather appeals, too. Best of luck to you!
Detonator;Adel clamps are used in the aircraft industry;I'd try some of the aircraft supply places or military surplus joints. They come in several colours and are fairly cheap to buy.Good hunting!
Detonator, Still have access to the aircraft aluminum adel clamp w/black rubber inserts free for the asking. Just need an address. If you want them E-mail or post your request.
Not an Adele clamp but summit sells "made for you" product line and they sell those two piece oil and heat resistant plastic blocks. they are two peice with a #10-32 machine screw that clamps them together. work really nice for brake lines as they hold tight. most the time I just tap a hole in the frame and go.
