I am looking for the paint mix code for GM Kenya Ivory for my 57' Pontiac. I need to get some paint and my paint place says they need to code to make it for me...
www.chevytalk.org Some of those guys paint by numbers. Im positive someone over there has the code you need. You might be limited to paint brands though, so be sure the brand of paint when getting the code. Hope that helps.
Get in touch With ZZ-IRON. Friend of his was repainting the white on his 57 Pontiac this winter, he may be able to point you in the right direction.
Looks like it was "P" for 1957: http://www.tcpglobal.com/aclchip.aspx?image=1957-pontiac-pg01.jpg ___
Thats awesome, I never knew you could pull codes like that. Really, thats pretty cool. Just added that to my favorites.
I called the paint place and they need some mixing code now to know how to make it. Their books don't go back far enough. Anyone have whatever code they use for mixing the paint?
It's a "formula"-- and it's different for each type/brand of paint. Honestly, unless you're doing a concours resto--They should have a fleet selector with numerous creams and off-whites for you to pick from.
