Yeah, I know its been asked a million times before but.........Cam recommendation: 1965 Buick 401, low mileage engine with new rings and bearings etc , running headers and a 6 carb manifold (using 2 x BIG 97's and 4 dummies) hooked to a 200R4 / Nine inch rear with 3.7 gears, 30 inch tall rear tires - all in a Model A Roadster Pickup. want something a little bit lively but still quite streetable. (95% street car but will see the odd trip down the strip) what everyone using ?
What stall converter? try the TA-25 http://www.taperformance.com/proddetail.asp?prod=TA_25 I would also hook up the other other four carbs. Nailheads like a heap of carb and I doubt just two 97s will do the trick. im running two 600cfm carbs sitting on a Eelco intake on my '65 401 Im thinking what ever cam you put in it wont help much if you are not letting it breath. They came out with a not bad cam.
