Art & Inspiration Mystery Rear View Mirror

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by bjinx, Aug 18, 2019.

  1. Was de-rusting parts from the Model A and did the rear view mirror that came in the car. Do not think it is a Model A, looks a little to Art Deco to me. Anyone know what this came out of?
The piece of mirror on it was approx. 3" x 6".

The mounting bracket looks like the one from a Model A that I put in my'39 p/u. Don't know about why it had the clamp on assembly to hold the mirror, maybe for an after market mirror with a clock in it? 20190818_164558[6025].jpg

The clamp was needed because the mirror itself was just a rectangle of silvered glass...there was no metal framing that could hold a swivel or attach fasteners to. The clamp served to hold the thing to the car and allow adjustment.
