Hi everyone, I'm new to posting here but I've been using the site for reference for a few years now. I wanted to see if anyone on here recognizes this dome light. I found it in a hot rod parts store in Orange, California and it's definitely real vintage and not a reproduction. The Art Deco design led me to jump to 1930s or 40s fomoco but I'm not too sure. If anyone knows what it is any help or answers would be greatly appreciated!

And it's left side...right one had a little switch. Ford also offered a dealer accessory switch that worked off of the upper door hinge making it automatic like a modern one...

If I knew how, I`d post a pic of one out of an early Caddy that I have. It screams Art Deco.

Oh cool! Off of one of my favorite years of Ford. I've only been able to find one picture of a pair and I obviously only have the one without the switch. However unless I can find the switched one to make a pair I'm probably going to fab up a small "bullet mic" like case for it and turn it into a small map light for my car. Kind of a neat little trick for a part I got relatively cheap

"...the one without the switch..." Use a modernish headlight switch that turns on the domelight by an extra twist of the dimmer function.
