Hey daddio. I don't have a build thread although I should start one I guess. I took a lot of pics as I went. Don't want to hijack your thread but here are a couple of shots. Keep up the good work.

I am sure that yours will be better. Ya, I need an extra large garage.;) But hey, I had to build my frame jig some where,,,,,,so that was it. Nice breeze under the canopy to. :) I have two more 27 bodies stashed away but I am going to sell one of them. Don't need three but have plans for building another one on an A frame. Just like 26-27 bodies. I will keep following your build. Good luck with it.

  6. You definitely should do a build thread. Looking good!

Sent from the pits of dispair. Wirelessly, of course.

Spent the afternoon at Bob's working on the roadster. He painted the rear end housing and front/rear split bones.

I finished drilling the backing plates and chamfered all holes front and rear. I then began sanding the chassis with 220. Ugh, what a long ass process! Can't believe Bob has already sanded this thing like six times by himself!!! So many angles and corners and I'm getting the easy part because it was already perfectly smooth! About 1/3 done, will try to finish this weekend.

I'm just glad there aren't any louvers! When I built my '31 Tudor I swore I would NEVER have louvers again unless I could pay someone to sand them!

This frame does have a TON of surface area though!

Looking good daddio. It will be done soon. By the way, are you going to the GNRS in Pomona at the end of the month?

Thanks bud! YES I'm ready for summer, please send it back soon! :)

Thanks man! I haven't made definitive plans for GNRS yet. The wife and I are "thinking" about going but we're so busy we're not sure we can make it. It's only about 400 miles away, so its not a big deal for us to run down and back. If we do make it we'll be at the HAMB meet n' greet outside of the Suede Palace at noon on Saturday. I'm 6'1", and 205 lbs. My hair is 6'5", LOL.
