I did the super three day drive up to Canada & Back but I think it was worth it!! Now my wife can have the four door I will actually let her have. IMO All other four doors are driving parts cars (sooorry four door owners). I need to find wheel wells and a back panel but other than that it is really solid!.......To channel or not to channel,....that is the question?????

That was worth the trip. I've always been a coupe guy but the deuce more door is pretty nice.

Yeah I like coupes more as well but I think this could be a long haul kina ride.

Hey maybe instead of finding a sedan panel to fix the back I can find a coupe back half,Hmmm.....?

Nah, fully fendered with a chop. Have runningboards for the kids to climb in and out with.

Definitely thought about this route. No kids though,I'm not really a fan of those little buggers not to mention they are expensive.

If I could round up a set of fenders I might go that route.

Flathead V8 & early running gear - No fenders - Big & little tyres - Old style scollop paint job & a not too radical chop.....:)

  11. That works for me! Good find BTW.

Nice body! I suggest no channel. With stock ht. you can run Hi boy or fendered.and as styles and taste change you can too. Chop and channel, it s fate is sealed.

After being at Keiths The car sat in my garage for YEARS.....life and laziness and other cars and motorcycles etc. etc. killed any forward progress........ 154371_482620444424_203527824424_5690075_6774487_n.jpg

I sold a bike and had some cash and had the hard talk with myself that I needed to in list the help of someone to help me get this ball rolling again. Keith had moved to Texas by this point and I had worked with and for Clay from Claytons Hot Rods 2012-02-27 12.56.07.jpg 2012-02-27 12.57.14.jpg 2012-02-27 12.58.01.jpg 2012-02-27 12.58.54.jpg and he convinced me to "just get my car up here!!". So on the trailer it went to get the finishing touches and get the chassis put together for the final time!....

So after the chassis was finished and ready to come home I was also convinced that a primered body on a finished chassis was cool, BUT a painted car was better......so off the body went to paint..... IMG_3023.JPG IMG_3025.JPG IMG_3022.JPG IMG_3286.JPG

while the body was at paint I had the chassis at home and started plugging away on things like exhaust, getting the motor in, finish plumbing etc. etc., you know all the fun stuff that eats up time like a fatso at an all you can eat buffet!! The motor turned out amazing!!! Thanks to my friend Grant Peuse for also taking the time to not only build the motor but come and help me get it running, and so much more to get the car on the road!!! and you can tell by my wife's face she's excited to get to drive this bad ass car. So the chassis gets finished and the motor get fired and now I'm just waiting for David the painter to be done with the body. I've had the hood and grill and some other bits painted for a while, but i was waiting for the body to be done....then it was ready! Such an exciting and stressful thing to pick up a newly painted body!!! IMG_3531.JPG IMG_3532.JPG IMG_3534.JPG IMG_3537.JPG
