Reverse eye spring and loose some springs.

If your not keeping it original you can flatten the spring frame mount or go with parallel springs.

Shackles are the easiest way to get quick drop.

cool little truck ya got there man. enjoy!

  9. Can U even see the shackles unless you're on your knees looking at them. Just use em, it's the easiest way. Prolly won't sway bad enough to bother you, or even be noticable. And you can always change it back in minutes if you're not happy. Don't over-think it, or over ANAL ize it;)

My '39 had long shackles on it and it swayed quite a bit. Push on the bed side and watch to see if the fender hits the tire, if so add a panhard bar. My truck also was running without shocks and the ride was fine.........you cant expect much, it's a 71 year old truck. ;) :D

Looks great Bob. I vote for the AAA logo on it as well. I am also a sucker for the 38-39 truck grilles.

Someone needs to do a comparison photshop with the AAA logo.

  16. Me too!!!!

  17. I decided against the almond colored wheels though. After cleaning the rims,it turns out that they are chocolate brown and really nice! So i'm gonna leave them like that.

Nice truck, Bad Bob. I like trucks. I'm finishing up the one in my avatar, and also have a 47 Ford 'bobber' waiting for me in the basement. I dig the beige wheels.

  28. After cleaning the wheels,I like them brown. So i'm leaving them alone.
