Hey guys, I'm excited about this one. This is my first published book. It's all about rusted old pick-up trucks from 1917 to the the mid 1970's. Its a photo/coffee table/art book light on the text and heavy with photos of old trucks as they have been found lying in fields, barns, sheds etc. Mixed in with the photos are the vintage ads of the trucks when they were new.

I'd like to publicly thank fellow HAMB member Flat Top Bob and his wife of Owens Salvage for putting me up at his place and driving me around the Texas pan handle searching for trucks and letting me roam his yard at dark thirty in the morning and dark O'clock at night.

If anyone is interested you can pre-order it at Amazon, it's 11 bucks cheaper to buy it there.

PS. It's not a spam post. I got permission from the boss to put this post up.

Congratulations Buick59, I really like the concept of the book and can see already that it's well executed. Best of luck with that. A little marketing effort will go a long ways to sell some great photos.

Thanks guys! I've been fortunate to have many, many automotive magazine covers over the years, but magazines are gone in a month and nobody remembers them anymore.

It took a year of traveling all over the western United States searching for trucks in fields, barns etc. Most of my traveling was done driving on the small by-ways and dirt roads. Lots and lots of nights spent sleeping in a mini van waiting for the sun rise or moonrise. Rain and snow, I got to experience it all. It was fun.

  16. hopefully the first of many, I've appreciated your photography for a long time, and great to see it colated into a nicely laid out and timeless format.

Keep at it, appreciate the effort

    Cheers,
