Absolutely, plan is to have it out later this summer. The month of January my business was quiet so I was able to give the fiat some much needed attention. Now work is hectic again so car time will be limited.

Thank you. Here are a few closeups to show the nice finish on the chassis.[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Back on all four wheels. Rear all buttoned up and most of front. Need to order a new rotor, in a big rush I cross threaded a wheel stud and stripped out the splines that hold the stud in place. Stupid Bob, Stupid Bob!!!! That's how I generally learn my lessons, the hard way. Lol

[IMG] it has been a little bit of a process. I ended up making some changes to my steering rack. The ends on the rack had tapard holes for a ball joint setup. The problem I had is the threaded ends that went into the tapard holes were two different sizes, a mixed pair. One was 3/8 the other was 1/2. So I called up Appleton Rack and Pinion and spoke with the owner. He suggested drilling and tapping the tapard holes to 5/8 fine thread and put hiems on the ends instead of a ball joint style end. Took it to a local machine shop were a friend did the honors. Now it's all back together. Finally

[IMG][IMG]also welded a plate to my steering column and another to the bracing for the column then bolted them together. This makes the steering removable if I need to change the bushings. That way I don't have to cut it apart again to change them.

Unfortunately when the body goes on, not much of it will be seen.

Sunday was a productive day. Installed brake pads, callipers and all brake lines, also a majority of the fuel lines. Hopefully later this week I'll get the engine and tranny back in. The converter is a new 5000 stall unit. So I need to put that in and check to make sure it doesn't bottom out against the pump in the tranny. It should liven up the Fiat. When I drove the car before it had a stock converter in it and it was engaged at idle. That made it difficult to drive as I needed to be on the brakes constantly. Hopefully the new one will fix it right up.

[IMG]picked up a set of slicks and wheels today. Older tires, but should be good to use.

Thanks, they are shorter than my street tires which should make for a better gear. Running 4-11's with the shorter slicks bottom end should benefit I hope.

    Nice job on the build.

As for the Stones - older is one thing, but those tires are probably old enough to legally drink and vote.

Yes they are. They are in fair to good condition. Going to add tubes in them and see how it goes. If all else fails I can take them out for a drink or two. Lol

[IMG]drive train going back in today. Hopefully the final time. Pretty exciting because it's one step closer. Next will be installing the rest of the fuel lines and start on wiring.
