My Dads 1934 Ford Coupe is back home after 39 years.

  1. Great Story and a Great car!-Glad to see it wasn't changed significantly from when your Pop built it. Gotta be a real walk down memory lane for your folks-Good on you for "staying on the case" and bringing it home.

    great story, neat ending ! my dad had to sell his 30 model a coupe to pay for my oldest brother being born, finding it would be impossible but he bought another to replace it and still has it today. thanks for sharin

    That's Great. I went threw the same thing with my Dads car but it wasn't as nice when I found it as your Dads car

    know the exact feelings. congrats. found my 40 cpe I sold in 1980 sitting in a garage rotting. got it back and it's a great feeling. mine was built in 1972 and will keep it that way.

  28. There seem to be more and more of these "Prodigal Son" stories whereby our long lost love affair with an old car returns home again. I think this teaches us all a lesson about us hot rodder and just car guys in general:
    Don't sell your car in the first place! You will regret it.
    If you are thinking about selling your hot rod, just store it away. the love will come back again,especially if the car is exactly what you want.
    Thats my 2¢

    i really dig it when this kinda stuff happends, 8 years ago this weeked my dads first hot rod came home also. He almost shit himself when i told him "come on... i just bought your old T-bucket back....lets go get it!"
