My Dad is a life long car guy, 38 year grease monkey, and ex-drag racer. In March he was diagnosed with stage 4 colon/rectal cancer, which has also spread into his liver and lungs. If anyone is in the Chillicothe, Illinois area (central Illinois), on September 12 from 12-8pm, we are having a benefit for him at the American Legion. If anyone in the area could stop by it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys, If anyone wishes to donate (we are having a silent auction and raffles or money if you'd rather), contact me through pm and I will give you the phone number of the person in charge of all of that.

I lost my dad almost 2 years ago to pancreatic cancer. He was an ex east coast dirt modified driver and a life long hot rod motorcycle guy. Tell your father to enjoy and take one day at a time . My Dad lived a long time with cancer and we were riding our motorcycles 4 days before he died . He left this life with no regrets. Good luck to you and your family. Let us know where to donate. Just lost my friends dad to liver cancer 2 weeks ago. Really does bring you back to reality and makes you appreciate all the little things. My prayers go out to you and your family, best of luck.

Sorry to hear about your dad, but don't give up on him. My son-in-law was diagnosed with stage 4 throat cancer and given about 15% chance of making it for 2-years. It's now been 11-years and his scans show no cancer.

Sorry man. Glad you got to appreciate him for as long as you did. He sounds like the kind of guy I'd like to meet and hang out with.

11 years ago my Dad went to bed one night and didn't wake up. Miss him every day. Things happen and I want to tell him but can't. Take every opportunity you can to talk and listen to him. It sucks you only get one Dad in this world. I try to work by the adage "Don't cry because its over. Smile because it happened".
