This is my girlfriends first old car. And she couldn't be happier about it. It is a 1962 Galaxie 500. The interior is immaculate, and the outside is pretty damn straight, a few scratches and dings, but nothing major and no rust. We had some issues driving it home from Dallas back to Fort Worth, but I don't believe it's anything major, I think just some junk in the gas tank, clogging the fuel filter. It does run and drive and stop well. Just needs a little TLC.

For now, just lower it and get it running right and it will be her daily driver.

  4. Nice ride! The '62 and '63 Ford Galaxies are neat cars.

  5. WOW that is Beautiful, the Car is too :) No seriously though. The galaxie is gorgeous, and she really does look like a happy lady. You are a lucky man to have a lady love an old car. 95% of them out there want something brad new with a warranty, and$600 to $800 a month payment. Good luck with it, and keep us up to date. That sure is a nice find.

Nice find. 60's factory interiors were the best. Gary

Congrats from a fellow '62 owner! They're great cars! Make sure it gets loud pipes though! They sound GREAT when you uncork 'em a little bit.

Nice find, on both accounts. When I was a kid my brother-in-law bought a new 62 Galaxie that color. As I recall it was called Chestnut Brown. It was one of the first 406 4-speed cars ordered.
