At first I didn't like the rear fender either...but that works real nice. Cool job on the photshop, Cleatus.
This is exactly what I had in mind. I guess I have a winter to think about this. I like it alot but not sure if I like it better than stock. Thanks for the shop rik and cleatus.
I just got back from a weekend of camping and attending the Cider Run in the Chevy. I am quickly falling in love with this car. Thanks for all the great comments. The side window trim will be made from 1/4 round brass then chromed. This is the stick on shit as a mockup to decice if I want to use trim. It is only on one side. The stock window trim would be near impossible for me to modify. It needs total reshaping to fit the rear side windows. I may try to fill it with lead and bend it around a buck cold but I think it would be easier to make it new from brass. Color will be olive candy green made by shooting gold candy over teal blue base. Thanks all Gary
Your 48 kicks ass man. great work and nice chop. I have more work on mine to traildrag like yours. Awesome, Just awesome...
That looks great! I hope mine turns out that nice, and I hope I can look at it up close at the Pileup. How did you lower it?
Thanks guys. I have been rackin up the miles, havn't started my dd chevy truck since last week. Back has a 6 inch notch with short flat springs sunk in the frame that I took off a customers 34 chevy and replaced with coil overs. They might be chassis engineering springs? 3 inch blocks on top. Front has too many cut coils with 51 chevy gas tube shocks. The old lever A- arms are junk. Back rides sweet, front needs some work. I am very happy with the car as far as steering and stopping. I may do some experimenting with the stock frontend rather than swapping in a M2. I might wack off the ends of the spring pockets to give more travel and replacing the upper shock-aarms with a fabbed a-arm. Of any of the old cars I have had this one steers and goes down the road the best, deserves a little ingenuity.
