my 40 merc

    bought this a month ago its been sitting for a long time. built in the early 80s. the flathead runs great!! i've been looking for some time for a nice fordor. i've already put a 39 grille in it and sanded off the purple......just wasn't feeling it lol:cool:

    thanks gary nothing like black, couldn't come up with a forty grille but i think the 39 is cool:cool:

    thanks guys! next thing is to build nerf bars outa stainless , trim on hood and make a center grille bar:cool:

    thanks check out sledge's avitar his is a forty. they have more shape and the hood front v's down into it a bit very smooth and flowing in my eyes. when u change to a 39 u also need a 39 hood....Dave

    didn't have a grille there was a home made wire mesh in it. the forty grille is really hard to find, there is a guy that makes them but outa my price range for now...Dave
