bought this project from a fellow H.A.M.B. member....rear good deal ,real nice project.....

removed exhaust system, removed straight axle,round back spindles and backing plates.........installed 4" dropped axle from Joe's speed shop, installed '42-'47 square back car spindles and f-1 truck backing plates and brakes. Joe rebushed the spindles and bent the arms to accommodate the steering bar and matched the spindles to the axle to get the correct caster. Also reamed the bushings to fit the new king pins he supplied.

spindles, backing plates installed.....spindle arm tie rod tapered hole flipped over to accommodate the steering bar tie rod position... Because the hubs are for a f-1 truck spindle which have a larger spindle shaft than a car spindle shaft I need to get smaller inner bearings and races.

 

well, she's lowered 4" front and back.....

 

pushed her out of the shop. Gonna get my other shoulder repaired monday, so I need room in my shop to sit and look at all the stuff I can't do.......

looks like a 33 cab ? does the frame have to be notched for the front spring

 

the middle cab two moldings, the upper is small the lower is large.

 

makes it a 33 ... keep on truckin !
