  4. Are you gonna c-notch the frame at all? How much of a channeling?

I made the frame it has a 9"z. It has a 57 chevy rear end with a 32 spring. The channel will be 4" max.

  7. I agree with Crash on this one, hate to see the rear wheels over the deck lid, your coupe has a nice look to it, nothing traditional about a 9" z.
and a 4" channel ? Hope you have a strong back because the ride will take it's toll on your back and legs, just sayin';)

Looking at how nicely the tire fits the original body line I'm not sure it will improve the look by dropping the body 4". Just my thought on it.

  11. i have to agree, keep the REAR where it is, and maybe channel the front over the rails about 2"...ya get to putting the rear tire top above the body lines and they look like a dog crawling on its belly with its hind legs up over its body....just sayin' ....

  12. Well, everybody is different of course. Don't get me wrong, i love traditional looking hot rods that sits fairly high. But, a low hot rod is kinda unbeatable.
Look at some old pics from the late 40's even, and you'll see some of the cats back then having major channeling and c-notch jobs done.
We're building a '31 Model A truck, it'll be chopped 5", channeled 6" in front and 5" in the back, along with a 12" c-notch. It's not gonna be stupid low, but low and still fully driveable of course!

I agree with the other guys. Maybe drop the front over the rails a touch but the rear looks perfect. What tires are you running? They fill the original lines perfect!

I don't know if I'd channel it unless you're 4 ft. tall. I like to sit low in my cars. It looks perfect as is.

I'd would keep it as is. I think it looks good. But, then again, it's not my car
