This is my 31 coupe I still need to channel it
she's going to come down 4"
Are you gonna c-notch the frame at all? How much of a channeling?
channel it ?
i think it looks good as it sits
I made the frame it has a 9"z. It has a 57 chevy rear end with a 32 spring. The channel will be 4" max.
I agree with Crash on this one, hate to see the rear wheels over the deck lid, your coupe has a nice look to it, nothing traditional about a 9" z.
and a 4" channel ? Hope you have a strong back because the ride will take it's toll on your back and legs, just sayin'
like it as is...
Looking at how nicely the tire fits the original body line I'm not sure it will improve the look by dropping the body 4". Just my thought on it.
i have to agree, keep the REAR where it is, and maybe channel the front over the rails about 2"...ya get to putting the rear tire top above the body lines and they look like a dog crawling on its belly with its hind legs up over its body....just sayin' ....
Well, everybody is different of course. Don't get me wrong, i love traditional looking hot rods that sits fairly high. But, a low hot rod is kinda unbeatable.
Look at some old pics from the late 40's even, and you'll see some of the cats back then having major channeling and c-notch jobs done.
We're building a '31 Model A truck, it'll be chopped 5", channeled 6" in front and 5" in the back, along with a 12" c-notch. It's not gonna be stupid low, but low and still fully driveable of course!
I agree with the other guys. Maybe drop the front over the rails a touch but the rear looks perfect. What tires are you running? They fill the original lines perfect!
I'd lower the front some and call it done.. But hey, cool coupe anyway......
Hey the coupe is just right!
I don't know if I'd channel it unless you're 4 ft. tall. I like to sit low in my cars. It looks perfect as is.
Loving the way it looks right now! But hey, it's your car, do it the way you want...
Channel it just over the frame. Like you said, ~ 4".
I like it the way it sits!
Drop the front a little back is money
looks great, especially the 4-71
I'd would keep it as is. I think it looks good. But, then again, it's not my car
I would if the frame was anything special but it's not. Tonight she comes down!
thanks i love that blower.
nooooo dont channel it leave it as it is , just my 2 cents
LEAVE AS IS
To late. i cant do it on this frame.
Like a chopped High Boy, if there is such a thing
