I just read your post from the beginning, what a great job you have done!
The color, style and execution are awesome.
You European guys blow me away with your dedication.

Did you have to modify the rear seat much to get it to fit after?

    Thanks for the kind words!
I must admit that I'm not install the rear seat yet so I really don't know how much modifying it takes at this moment. I have all the interior left before I can call the car done.

    Hello Orn,

    Jim from Australia here,
Love your car and your build.
Just wondering if you could tell me exactly which year and model Jag your front end was from?
And what is the track width, centre to centre of tyres?

    I also have a 1948 Oldsmobile, its a series 60 (66) Sedanette,
which I am thinking of installing a jag front end, but not sure which jag model to use as the donor car front end..

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Jim

    Hi Jim.
It was from a 1985 Xj 6 model but I dont remember the exact track width but really close to the stock 47 width. Your 48 Sedanette looks good and so did the 50 Buick in the background.
    I got myself a 48 too but its a model Dynamic 76.

    Thanks for the info Orn,
That is one nice looking 48 sedanette you have there, You are clearly a fan of the 40's fastback models as am I.
I restored the Buick about 14 years now, Would really love to find a decent 1950 Buick sedanette one of these days.

I have found a series 1 xj12 front end for sale locally and from what I have read, it should do the job and be fairly similar track width to the original front end..
Still debating weather to bolt it in or weld in would be best...

keep up the good work mate.
    Jim
