Multi-tool to remove trim

I was just wondering if anybody here has used on of those oscillating multitools to cut the studs for stainless trim clips on a parts car? I figured you could use a puddy knife to lift the trim up a bit. Slide the tools blade in there and go to town. I need to get some stainless from the junkyard and I thought that might be the way to go. Half the time you need new clips anyways so why even try to save them...
