So I'm cleaning out my storage, my dads econoline. And I found my distributor, coil and 6am box from my old 56. I didnt even know I still had it! My question is should I get it rebuilt? Where? It's been sitting for at least 10 years !! It all worked fine the last I used it but don't wanna take off my ignition system if it doesn't work

MSD stuff is pretty tough and it doesn't usually go bad just sitting around. MSD used to have a rebuild program for their boxes but I don't know if they still do that. Check their website.

Just a SWAG, but your unit might be out of date (electronic upgrades? improved heat resistance?) it might be better to get a new box. Or not. Only one way to find out, call them. Gary

  4. If you have the stock points ignition on your car now, you would be better off keeping that..
