Hey this is probably a long shot but does anyone have a good way of figuring out where the brackets go to mount appleton spotlights. I am trying to mount a apir of 112's on a 1937 Chevy pick up and have been less than succesful so far. I tried by just eyeballing them and it didn't turn out very good. Does anyone know if templates were even made for trucks? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
If you go to page 2 of the below linked thread, you can see how I mounted some Appletons without a template. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=613214&highlight=appleton+mounting
Thanks!! Did you have an extra spotlight to use with your fixture that you made to get an idea where the light would sit?
There were templates made. I've got a full set of templates from mid-'40s to mid '50s. No '30s, but they WERE available. Start hunting, and you'll find them. -Brad
I forgot to mention that part. I partially disassembled one of the spotlights, used it in my fixture, then reassembled it for installation.
