Mark - that's so bitchin - I know you had that in mind, didn't know you were doing it.

I vote for hood on - as beautiful as that motor is ... I think 40s look better hooded generally. Either way you can't lose.

I like them with hoods... but the Caddy mill (and even the super clean radiator) are pretty great looking.

    Jeff & Mark,

I have the utmost respect for you guys and everything you have done, but are you serious about a clear hood? Not a custom...it is a hot rod!!!! While I have never seen it done, I have never seen Caterpillar wheels under a deuce, either!!!!

I vote for the hood on too---40's look the best to me with the hood on--with the Caddy mill it's kinda "sneeky Pete" deal---really cool-just finishing another 40 cpe and will only run it without the hood for a week or so to dial it in--then the hood goes on

  26. Hood on...and..I know it's a tiny, tiny thing to nit-pick...but I'd really like to see the top radiator hose replaced...just never did like flex hose, even if it is a Green Stripe. I know, shoot me.

It looks like a fairly severe set of curves, but I wonder if you could use part of a molded hose to match it, or, maybe two molded hoses with a coupler. I suppose you could also use a chrome pipe with short hose couplers at each end.

As I said, nit-picking...the car looks beautiful in the video. Nice job on the exhaust, too.
