  5. The El Camino in your last photo is Really cool with that front clip. That is the only photo I have seen of it in any of the Billetproof photo links.

    Thanks for sharing,

    'Burb,
They are all digital. I shot some old style polaroids too (the kind you have to pull apart) and I'll get a few of those up soon too. What gives it a film look is that I use a camera with big sensor (known as a full frame sensor) and vintage lenses.

  22. Very classy picture takin'! Hey! I know those people in that one shot, they're my buddies in the East Bay Sinners and Rea from Eddy's Deluxe followed by Kelly, a good friend of mine and my lady's... Cool!

GREAT shots! You're very talented! HAMB calender shots for sure! Thank you for sharing!

  24. Nice work dude.

Tell me how you get away with using vintage lenses on a digital camera?

Don't dumb it down, I know enough to be dangerous when it comes to taking photos. :)

Just curious what type of gear you're using.

Once again, thanks folks! I would love to hit more shows, but I am a photographer. Weddings take up almost every weekend but for some reason I was able to get to both of the last two Billetproofs. I won't even be able to go to the one up here (NW) because I am already booked for it :( and HotRodARama too.
I would love to work for a mag, but the pay usually sucks for all magazines. The last cover I shot (August '07 "Law and Order") only paid $300!

Technical info on the vintage lens stuff:
Camera - Canon EOS 1Ds (.raw only)
Lens - Pentax Super Takumar 50 1:4 (screw mount) mounted with an m42 - EOS adapter

A few of them were shot with a 30D and the kit 18-55 lens.

Suggest to clients that they get married at a car show. Or, get a car club to use their rides as a back drop for some of the wedding shots. Hope you have submit some for the H.A.M.B. Calendar posted elsewhere today.

James, Nice talking with you at the show. I have a few pics of the your ride I'll post later. How did the pinstripping on the camera come out?
