Hot Rods Monmouth parts number

  1. Got a box of nos king pin kits the other day.
    But don't know what they are good for.
    So could anybody check the old parts book for me and wise me up.
    The number is A161, looks like chevy GM something like that.

    It does look like some I just did on a 54 Chevy car .bump

    or a 40s-50s truck.

    I have an old Moog catalog that lists sizes of king pins, and what they fit. Three pages of listings, so if you can measure the diameter and length of the pin accurately, I can probably find a few applications that might be right. I won't be able to get it exact, as they made changes to the thrust washers/bearings, etc over the years.

    that's the size that is used in those trucks, up to 1950. That diameter isn't used in anything else that I see in my book, which covers about 1940-1970

    Probably not a lot of demand for them...

    Yeah, not much use for them, but better then dumpster.
    Some military guys maybe..............
