I'm in the process of mounting the radiator in my 39 Chevy. I just wanted to share with anyone interested that a 67 Malibu / ElCamino w/sbc has molded hoses that are cut to fit. If you have a close vertical radiator, look these up. I bought them both online for $12 plus shipping. photo.JPG

  2. Great tip, but hows about including that part # and brand of hose.:)

  3. Hey! That looks like it'd work in my 34 ford with a Walker radiator and a Pontiac engine!

  5. Is it a rubber hose?

Nice universal hoses are hard on the radiator outlets and inlets

Good tip. I would never had thought of that.
We used to gave a hose "buyers guide" in the store I used to work at. It had illustrations as well as the measurements. I know it's online somewhere too. Gates was the company

This thread is useless without part numbers and pictures of the hoses (both) installed and not installed.
I have a Gates hose selection PDF file that is the real deal. Too big to post here but I can probably send it to anyone who needs it.

After I'd set my drive train up in my 35 Chevy I bent up lengths of 1/8" wire to shape for top and bottom hoses and headed off to the local parts store. The top hose is off a local GM product and the bottom is off a local Ford product. Easy to replace if the need arises. Will do the same with the Olds.

This is probably the same one. Its a huge PDF file.
I've used it lots of time before, its organized by ID and then length.
