    I started a thread called

What a car!, about a model A coupe with a V12 in it, with a link to youtube viideo.

Why pray tell would this be deleted?

Perhaps whoever deleted it would care to weigh in.

  2. Since none of us know what the car looked like I can only assume it was a off topic type of car,,,ie. rat rod/street rod.

Don't worry too much about it,,most of us have had threads deleted in the past.

Or someone weighed in with some Drama,,that will kill a thread fast.HRP

if it was the one with the BMW engine, I saw it on vimeo and it was a very clean well done car, it didnt look rat rodish or modern at all , the one I saw was carburated with a BMW 12 cylinder in it

    Ya I've read that before.

Read it , and you'll see it makes little sense, we are it seems supposed to intuit what the rules are.

" I've tried for years to put it into proper words and can't."

If the guy who makes the rules , can't put them into words, how are we supposed to be able to follow them?

Don't get me wrong i like this forum, but if for instance all cars must have ford flatheads to be accepted here, then just say that.

  7. Simple dude......a BMW V12 is NOT traditional...welcome to the deleted thread club, move along...don't start drama, someone will piss & moan & it'll get retarded...its just the internet.

It is difficult to do because no matter how you word it,

you are going to exclude cars that would be fine, and include cars that are not.

On a car to car basis though, its surprisingly easy.

And I totally agree with the Mod that Deleted that Thread...

( this is why we reccomend that Users take some time and get a feel for the place.
To help them figure out what belongs on the HAMB, and what does not.)

not trying to start an argument ,the thread was closed but this particular one did look very traditional, this was not some modern looking fuel injected engine, it was hard to tell who even made the engine by the video, but it was a very well done clean car, people have put German engines in cars for years, I mean the car itself was very traditional, just a different choice of engine was all

  13. If it was an Allison V12 I am sure it would be here still....

    But its a BMW
