Any opinions on mounting a 3 leaf rear spring on a '40 "banjo" rear axle ...going into a Model A coupe??

Has anyone done this? if so, how was the ride???

  2. I have a full pack "T" spring in my A and on an A rearend...Bolted right in and it sits good, but is really spongy, bottoms out pretty easily.

    Mike,

you'll need more than the 3 T springs leaves you have to prevent the spring from being to spongey, and having the suspension travelling too far.

I'd say that the Model A spring you have would be better, or if too stiff, remove spring in an odds-an-even basis, and some of the smallest leaves to drop the height.
