How much oil pressure would be normal to measure from the running engine?

If unmodified, very little. This is just barely a pressurized system with all apertures left stock. The rudiments are there for fairly simple conversion to more pressure and pressure to rods with some modifications...there is a central oil gallery in there so a pressurized system does not have to be made up from scratch like an A Model.

On my 4 banger I get 10 psi, which I have been told is a lot for that engine.

3-4 cold and 3/4 hot at running speeds. They ran that way for 80 years! Full pressure is not needed unless you are going to turn over 4,000 RPM. Trust me, I know as I run both Bonneville and street with bangers.
