I had to change the engine in the Model A. The 283 needs a total rebuild, and it's going to take a while. I found a 327 from a '64 Impalla, and it fit nicely. (327's rev so high ) I took all the speed equipment off the old mill and made the swap. I cleaned up the tri-power, and got new valve covers and lake-style headers. It is soooooo loud runnin open; rattled my noggin loose! Had to call a doctor! Here it is nosed up to my wagon Now, I have got to get to work finishing the interior so it will be ready for the GNRS Suede Palace! (Thanks Axle!).
That's a great looking car, you've done well. Almost exactly what I've got it in my pea brain for my coupe.
Doc it's lookin' nice...the wagon is lookin' choice too...don't forget to switch from flip flops to vans and switch your tank tops to tees...see ya at GNRS
Very NICE lookin' indeed, The colour is fantastic.I really like the combination with the Black wheels and motor! What is the colour by the way? Nick.
Always been more of a fan of the 327 than the 283, more tourque and it still revs good. Whats the wheelbase on that, is it (103.5)? Pompadour and I want to know what size tires you got on it also?.
I've allways liked Grey as a colour! The paint looks VERY deep in this picture,Very nice.Great stance too. Nick.
What a nice looking A .The 327 looks so nice ,it makes me kinda wish I went that route instead of a Nailhead. I've been waiting 3 mos. for a bellhousing ,not to mention all the other expenses and stuff. Nice Job.
Dude, I have been trying to decide on a color for my '29 roadster, and you've made my decision for me. Is that gray or silver (i.e. metallic gray)? Thanks, Mike
