So I am putting together pieces for a AV8 build using a '28-31 Ford Tudor body and working on the chassis at the moment. I came across a good deal on a Model A rear 8-leaf spring pack and was wondering if this would be too light to use with the Tudor body. I know the 7- and 8-leaf packs are for the Roadsters and Coupes; whereas, the 10-leaf are usually for the Tudor bodies.

Anyone ever used this combo in a build?

I have a few spare leaves if you need them.

The spring will work fine under a sedan, they ae pretty stiff. I always take the springs apart and remove a couple of leaves, makes them ride better. . Take it apart, clean up the leaves, bevel the ends so they don't bind, put a light coat of graphite on them and remove a couple of the short leaves.

Sweet. That is what I figured would be the answer. Going to order my hardware for it tomorrow to bolt it into the chassis!
