    Hi gents...
Recently posted a 50 Ford vert on E-Bay for sale. The eventual "winner" was a gent named Mike Lawson, obviously a very common name, regardless he didn't pay! Soooo if any of you'll are contacted by Mike Lawson make sure you vet this guy! See below!

You've received a final value fee credit [IMG]
    Hi Gene,

You've received a final value fee credit. Also, an unpaid item has been recorded on the buyer's account.

If you want, you can go to your site preferences and authorize us to automatically withdraw from transactions on your behalf when the buyer doesn't pay. We can also close unpaid item cases and refund your final value fees automatically.

This is a pretty common thing with cars on ePay unfortunately. They've had 20 years to figure it out but still, it's a bastion for people who seem to have an addiction to winning auctions but not actually buying anything. They've weeded most of it out on the smalls and parts but cars are still a huge problem.

Do you have the preferences on your listings set to weed out as many deadbeats as possible?

if a non paying bidder is the worst thing to happen to you on ebay just be glad it wasn't something else. with paypal every transaction is set up so you could lose you item and the money.... and paypal will even help the thief.
