Mid 50's drag racing in San Antonio. At the Air Force Base

    Here's some more family drag racing video from the 50's. They spent Sunday mornings racing up and down the flight lines at the local air force bases. Back then it was the A.T.A - Alamo Timing Association

    I wish I was. It was my grandfather and all of his friends. Unfortunately there is only one of them left from that group. Could you imagine any air force base these days opening the gates and letting us race on their flight lines?

    too bad we can't have fun like that today.the gov't.closes them down and for what!more condos and starbucks.they would make great race tracks for any kind of racing.anyway great footage.
