Hot Rods Merry Christmas to ME-WOO HOO

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Groucho, Dec 3, 2008.

  1. 3 years ago I bought for myself, around this time a 60 Pontiac for X-Mas. The other day, I'm thinking, I'd sure like to do that again. I miss the other one. Today, this falls in my lap. Although I wanted a hardtop.......

Only in California do you find cars that clean... Man, it looks spotless.

You lucky bastard! That is one amazing car. Congrats!

  14. from Luke Pontiac, Arlington Texas...cool find!!

  15. Space up the front a hair, and just a taste of Super Stock lettering

Looks like one very old, but presentable re-paint, and the front seat's been redone close to original. Also, along the way it got a 1965 421 with the crate tag!

I'll hang on to this for a while. I'm embarrassed to say how cheap it was.

  21. That's beyond cool Groucho...

based on the other cars that have come and gone in your stable, this one has found the perfect home...

    Thanks for sharing it here...

    Really neat car, Groucho!

Do you still have my old '55 Chieftain, or has it gone down the road? Man I still miss that car sometimes...good memories.

I love it! I like the sedans better than the hardtop.

  24. Thanks Kev. How's your Willys coming along?

  25. GREAT car!!!!!! The 55 was my summer toy. I sold it last week to a cool dude up in San Jose that drove one in 62 when he came to California from back east

  26. That thing looks clean as hell...tremendous score! Topping it off with the original window sticker is awesome

  27. It's kinda like saturation bombing back in the day before smart weapons. Sooner or later you're gonna hit something:D. I'm so passionate about older cars, I'm ALWAYS on the hunt. Some give me shit for selling some of my cars. Truth is, I have a desire for way more cars than my money will allow. So, I have to bump something to get another. My Vette's a keeper (most here have seen it-looks like a 60's drag car), as well as my black 38 Chevy. Now, this car I may have for a while too. I love 60 Pontiacs, tri-power and stick shifts. This car has all that ,and it was VERY affordable. I tend to not keep cars that are overpriced. It takes the fun out of it for me.
