I just found this on the Metalshapers board, figured someone here might be interested as well:

" Allen Farner in Spartenburg, SC just called to tell me about a seminar he
is putting on with Gene Winefield chopping a top.

This is not a hands-on seminar -- its a sit and watch, listen, take notes
and take photos type seminar for only $50 for both days... July 24th - 25th

Or if you can only make it for one day -- the cost is $30.
Gene will be chopping the top of a 1940 Merc.

This is reserved seating only -- so if you are interested -- call Allen at
    864-590-5075 or e-mail [email protected]

That's the only information I have at the moment. If you need lodging --
    here's a link.

    Lodging:

This sounds like an excellent opportunity to pick up on a lot of good
information for a very low cost.

Many thanks to Gene and Allen for putting together such an affordable event.

Too bad it's too far. I'd like to see the master do one of those, that year Merc roof curves down so fast in the rear. You don't often see those with a good transition into the trunk.
