Technical Meedle in Carter WDO carburator

    This needle, What is it for. And where does I belongs in a Carter WDO. It is for a 1948 olds.
    It is not to the float....

    Maybe check needle for accelerator pump

    Maybe you should carefully take your carb apart and see if you can find a needle valve like
    that inside.
    It is possible that the carb rebuilding kit supplied an alternate inlet needle valve so the
    kit could be used on another similar carb with a different float valve.
