Technical Master Cylinder Coatings

I'm doing a final assembly on a new project. Has anyone found a brake fluid resistant coating that I could use on a master cylinder?

 

Powder coating , bout the only thing !

 

I'll second that, but check with the supplier before coating; not all powders are fully resistant.

 

chrome. Or rust...once it rusts, it will stay rusty.

 

Gotta say I'm with Mark on this; no problem with brake fluid on the chrome.

 

Dot 5 silicone fluid.

 

having nice paint around the m/c is not traditional...it's supposed to have some wrinkles!

 

Mine has hah Eastwood cast iron exhaust manifold paint for 5 yrs and still looks great. I'm careful not spill anything on it. You can see it is slightly different color because there was no repeated heat curing, only the first time in an oven.

 

I powder coated the one on the Ranch Wagon 5 years ago,still looks good. HRP

 

Eastwood sells a paint specifically for master cylinders that is brake fluid resistant. It only comes in gray.

Use an aluminum MC.

 

Eastwood brake gray is my weapon of choice

Just clear coat it and don't spill the brake fluid
