    and this manual somehow measured the crank journal diameters in the engine in that thread? interesting.

    First ive ever heard of a factory small journal with 4 bolt mains. I don't think they exist?

    Recently read an article about a 1964 all alum 390 FE found at an old raceshop down south. There's supposed to have been 10 built. Weird does surface now and then.

    Alan Colvin (Chevrolet by the numbers books) has full access to the factory Chevrolet archives and according to him there was never a small journal Chevrolet small block with factory 4 bolt mains. I would have to say that if anyone knows, he does!

    It's been claimed that GM put 327/365 hp engines in 64 Chevelles too, find one!
