The last of the snow will be gone in a few days so I took the snowmobile out and did some exploring. Found these old cars in a gully in the back of a field. Probably been abandoned there over 50 years ago. No names on any of them except delco-remy on a relay. Mostly they are in scattered pieces (except the one I showed below), not even sure how many cars are there. Maybe 4? need to go back and get better pics when the snow melts and the mud dries up! http://s834.photobucket.com/user/tar6569/library/oldoldcars
Yeah, about 2 or 3 rear body sections, some leaf springs, an axle, some (long) fenders and remains of seats. Will probably see even more once the snow melts. Found an old tin can of Postum under one of the cars that dates to 1938
Yeah, the sleds are great for finding treasure...I did locate a pretty decent 40's Ford 2 door sedan body this winter...
They are frozen into the ground at the moment. Some pieces may even be buried. The snow should be gone in a week or two.
Good luck, people have made nice rides with less! I'm waiting for the snow to thaw so I can retrieve my Model AA, in upstate NY.
